Core advantages of the GCC plant from CNBM

stable quality and controllable particle size

Cutting-edge grinding machines and separators are used to achieve uniform distribution of particle sizes, high purity, and whiteness to satisfy the fineness standards of several industries, including papermaking, coatings, and plastics.

big production capacity and high production efficiency.

The production line is highly automated and logically constructed and can guarantee constant productivity and decreased downtime, high output per unit time, stable equipment operation, and has a low failure rate

Low energy consumption and better operating costs

Our vertical mill and ring roller mill can lower energy consumption and reduce power consumption and wear, as well as optimize airflow and grinding structure.

High level of automation and intelligence

The GCC plant can be equipped with a PLC/DCS automatic control system, realizing online granularity monitoring, automatic dosing, and conditioning.

High return on investment

High yield + low consumption + stable quality means a faster return on investment cycle. It is a more advantageous choice for enterprises in terms of long-term benefits.

durable equipment and low maintenance costs

Key components for our grinding machines are wear-resistant, such as grinding rollers and liners. The replacement cycle of spare parts is long. The design is convenient for maintenance.

Good environmental performance

Our vertical mill and ring roller mill can lower energy consumption and reduce power consumption and wear, as well as optimize airflow and grinding structure.

High flexibility, suitable for various products

The GCC plant can adjust the fineness range, quickly switch product specifications, and is suitable for different raw materials such as calcite, marble, etc.

manufacturing process of ground calcium carbonate plant

Crushing

Natural carbonate minerals, such as calcite, marble, limestone, etc., are raw materials in large pieces and need to be crushed to a certain fineness for the next step, grinding. A jaw crusher or impact crusher is used to do so and produce small particles of 15 mm to 50 mm entering the grinding mill.

Grinding

Grinding is the core process that directly affects the grade and fineness of the finished calcium carbonate powder. The crushed small pieces of material are conveyed by the elevator to the silo. Then they are uniformly and quantitatively fed into the grinding mill for grinding by the vibrating feeder.

Classifying

The separator then classifies the ground materials. The substandard powder is returned to the main machine for regrinding.

powder collecting

The airflow carries the fine powder that satisfies the necessary fineness via the pipeline and into the dust collector for collection and separation. The conveying device transports the gathered finished powder to the completed product silo via the discharge port. Powder tank trucks or automated packaging machines are then used to package it uniformly.

Recent Cases

Application of ground calcium carbonate

It is an essential raw material in the chemical industry because of its many excellent physicochemical qualities, especially physical ones, such ease of dispersion, surface hydrophilicity, gloss and whiteness, low hardness, and high filling capacity. Papermaking, plastics, rubber, cables, paints and coatings, adhesives, sealants, everyday chemical products, medications, animal feed, and new composite calcium-plastic materials are just a few of the industries in which it finds use.

paper industry

It ensures the strength and whiteness of the paper while keeping costs low with a particle size of 325 mesh, a whiteness requirement of 95%, and a calcium carbonate content of 98%.

plastic industry

Calcium carbonate has a skeletal role in plastic products and is crucial to their dimensional stability. Additionally, it improves their surface smoothness and shine as well as their hardness. Moreover, calcium carbonate can be used in place of costly white colors because its whiteness is greater than 90.

rubber industry

Large amounts of calcium carbonate are added to rubber to expand the final product’s volume and preserve pricey natural rubber, which drastically lowers expenses. Tensile strength, rip strength, and abrasion resistance are all improved when calcium carbonate is added to rubber compared to pure vulcanized rubber.

cable

Heavy calcium carbonate powder can serve as an additive reinforcer in PVC blending materials and lower the formula cost in PVC cable granular materials. Second, the purpose of heavy calcium carbonate is to adsorb ions. It can lessen the free release of conductive ions in the PVC system, which improves the product’s volume resistivity as well as the cable materials’ resistance to heat and oxygen aging, as well as their strength and thermal deformability.

paint industry

The paint industry also uses large amounts of calcium carbonate; for example, thick paints contain more than 30% calcium carbonate.

coatings

In the water-based coatings business, calcium carbonate is used much more widely to impart properties including superior gloss, ease of dispersion, and resistance to sedimentation. It is commonly used at dosages between 20% and 60% in water-based coatings.

construction sector

In the construction sector, ground calcium carbonate is a major component of concrete. It improves the product’s toughness and strength while also lowering production costs.
