A dust collector is an important piece of equipment in the industrial manufacturing business. The cement production lines generate a lot of dust in every link of the entire production process from ore mining to cement finished product packaging and delivery. In a cement grinding plant, a bag filter plays the role of reducing dust emissions and cleaning the air.

There are various types of bag filters such as mechanical vibration type, chamber blockback type, nozzle blowback type, vibration and blowback combined type, and jet pulse type. A jet pulse filter is a dry dust filter that uses compressed air as the cleaning power. The compressed air is released within the instant of the pulse injection mechanism, and several times of secondary air is induced to shoot into the filter bag at high speed, so that the filter bag is sharply swollen, and the bag dust collector is cleaned by impact vibration and reverse airflow.

Air box jet pulse filter
The air box jet pulse filter (plenum pulse bag dust collector) is an advanced, high-efficiency collector introduced by Fuller Company of the United States. It solves the drawbacks of insufficient chamber back-blowing dust cleaning intensity and simultaneous jet pulse dust cleaning and filtration. It combines the benefits of multiple bag dust collectors, such as chamber back-blowing and jet pulse dust cleaning. As a result, bag dust collection has many applications. The features of this kind of dust collector’s construction increase the efficiency of dust collecting and lengthen the filter bag’s lifespan.

Features of PPCS pulse jet baghouse
An air box pulse dust collector’s unique feature is that it uses offline cleaning, also known as chamber cleaning, in turn. The filter airflow is shut off while a chamber is being sprayed and cleaned to prevent secondary dust from blowing from the cleaning process. Therefore, gas with dust concentrations up to 1000g/m3 (standard) can be captured by the air box pulse dust collector.

The air box pulse bag dust collector consists of a shell, an ash hopper, an ash discharge device, a bracket, and a pulse cleaning system. When the dust collector is operating, dust-laden gas enters from the air inlet in the air inlet and outlet box and is directed through the slanted partition toward the ash hopper. The speed of the airflow decreases concurrently. Fine dust particles follow the airflow upward into the filter chamber, while coarse dust in the gas falls into the ash hopper due to inertia. The filter bag’s surface becomes covered in dust. The upper cleaning chamber receives the purified gas after it has passed through the filter bag. The dust collection system’s main fan draws out the clean gas from each chamber, which is then collected through the air exit and released into the atmosphere.

The basic construction of an HMC single pulse jet filter includes a dust collector, a microcomputer controller, a centrifugal fan, a filter bag (or cartridge), and a dust removal box. The fan’s negative pressure forces the dust through the dust suction pipe and into the dust collector box. The coarse dust particles are first filtered by the filter and then fall straight into the dust collector using gravity and upward airflow. The filter collects the fine dust particles on the exterior. The filter element filters break down and purify the clean gas before the fan releases it through the air outlet into the clean room. The combined effects of gravity, inertia, and filtration result in the complete process of dust removal and filtration.
