A modular cement grinding plant is the new trend in the application of cement grinding units. The grinding equipment and other related machines are preassembled in separate modules that can be transported in containers. The time for delivery and installation is much less than in ordinary cement grinding stations and there is little civil work so the payback is correspondingly faster.

Module 1: Dosing and conveying system

Raw materials are discharged from the needle gates of feeding bins and then dealt with by the dosing devices. Properly portioned materials are fed into the cement mill through the conveyor belt.

Module 2:  Mill, separator, and filter

Take the cement ball mill for example. The materials are ground in the chambers of cement ball mills. As the rotating of the mill shell, materials are impacted and crushed because of the centrifugal force and the friction with the grinding media and liner plates. After grinding, the materials are discharged from the end of the cement mill. The screw conveyor and bucket elevator are responsible for carrying the ground material to the cement mill separator. Qualified materials are directly sent to the filter bag and the coarse ones are sent back to the cement mill for regrinding. The fineness is controlled by adjusting the speed of the wheel separation. The finished cement leaves the separator along with the airflow and finally be collected by the process filter. The dust of the bag filter goes to the cement transport system.

Module 3: Storage and bulking

After filtering, the cement is transported to the elevator and tested there by the inclined chute, and then sent to the roof slanting chute. The finished cement is sent to storage through the slanting chute fan. Part of the cement in the reservoir is transported via a screw conveyor at the bottom of the reservoir to a bulk loader for bulk sales. The rest part is conveyed via another screw conveyor to the electro-vibration screens of the packing unit. A Roots fan aids the discharge of cement from the bottom of the depot and a flow control valve is used to control the flow of cement into the screw conveyor.

Module 4: Packing

The packing system includes intermediate bins, elevators, packers, and conveyor belts. The cement is conveyed into the packer through a bucket elevator, air slides, and conveyors after being extracted from the cement silos by the screw conveyor. Bags will be placed on the packing machine spouts manually. The bags enter the bag cleaner to clean the attached cement on the surface. Then bags of cement are weighed. If the weight meets the requirements, packed cement will be loaded through the loading machine. If not, it will fall into the waste bin through the bag-dropping machine and re-enters the packaging system through manual cleaning.

Module 5: Tonnage packing

Tonnage packing is a technique between bulk and common bag packing. The bags can be recycled and reused which can reduce the cost of packing.

The cement enters the intermediate bin and is discharged into the tonnage packer via the bottom of the silo. A flow control valve is set at the outlet of the silo to control the flow of cement into the packer. A chain conveyor is used to pick up and drop off large bags of packed cement.

Module 6:  Fly ash storage

This module is to store the fly ash. It is conveyed to the tube mill via an inclined chute. The discharging quantity is controlled by a rotor scale.

Module 7: Industrial circulating water pumping station

The water system is for the new production line, which includes only the circulating cooling water system.

Module 8:  Compressed air station

This system provides compressed air for the new cement mill. A refrigerated dryer is supplied. Three integrated oil screw air compressors are installed. In addition, air filters for purifying process are equipped.

An electrical room is included in the supply. All panels and auxiliary equipment are preassembled to shorten the construction cycle.
