Product Introduction

A preheater cyclone immersion tube is also called a cyclone dip tube, preheater dip tube, or preheater hanging plate. It is a spare part commonly used in industries such as cement, metallurgy, chemical, etc.

The preheater cyclone immersion tube is usually made from heat-resistant steel or ceramic. It is placed inside the preheater in a hanging or fixed manner.

Main function

We all know that the preheater aims to preheat materials to improve the following process efficiency. The immersion tube is a key part of the preheater cyclone which direct contact with the high-temperature materials and airflow. The quality of the cyclone immersion tube directly affects the performance and service life of the preheater. To be specific, we have listed several functions of the immersion tube.

Support structure

Fix the refractory material or guide plate inside the preheater to prevent falling off.

Optimize airflow

Guide the flow of gas and materials to improve heat exchange efficiency.

Protect equipment

Reduce the direct erosion and wear of high-temperature, corrosive gases or materials on the inner wall of the preheater.

Extend service life

Reduce the frequency of equipment maintenance through the wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant properties of the hanging plate.

Key advantages

As a subsidiary of China National Building Materials Group, we are the only manufacturer of heat-resistant steel in the company.

The production capacity of heat-resistant steel castings reaches an annual output of over 6000.

The hanging plate of the preheater produced by Sinoma Zibo is outstanding in durability and heat resistance.

The manufacturing process is mature, the finished product quality is stable. With the high-quality immersion tube formed by the hanging plate, the cement plant and other factories can improve the efficiency of thermal exchange and material separation in preheater cyclones.

The length and weight of the immersion tube are carefully designed to balance the efficiency and pressure drop.

Wide application of preheater dip tube

Cement industry

In the preheater of a cement rotary kiln (such as a five-stage cyclone preheater), the hanging plate is usually installed inside the cyclone, duct, or decomposition furnace to protect the refractory lining and optimize the heat exchange between raw meal powder and hot gas.

Metallurgical industry

In blast furnaces or sintering equipment for iron and steel making, the hanging plate may be used in a high-temperature flue or waste heat recovery system.

Chemical industry

In high-temperature reactors or gas preheating devices, the hanging plate may be used to prevent coking or corrosion.

CNBM offers customized preheater cyclone immersion tubes to adapt to clinker grinding units and metallurgical and chemical industries. Our featured product is heat heat-resistant steel hanging plate for preheaters. If you need more information, don’t hesitate to contact us!

Various materials and structures suit your need

The process of heat exchange in the preheater is that the material in suspension meets the hot air flow from bottom to top and is heated. Then, it collides with the cylinder under the action of centrifugal force and enters the lower preheater by its gravity. The working condition of the cylinder in the preheater is usually at 700-1000℃and is eroded by a certain speed of airflow and material.

The preheater hanging plate needs to have good wear resistance to cope with the friction and impact of the material and also needs to have excellent heat resistance to adapt to the high-temperature working environment. Therefore, it needs to be made of stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, or ceramic materials.

Material

Heat-resistant alloy steel: such as Cr-Ni stainless steel (such as 310S) and heat-resistant cast steel (such as ZG40Cr25Ni20), which can withstand temperatures above 800°C.

Ceramic materials: such as silicon carbide (SiC) and alumina (Al₂O₃), are used in higher temperatures or highly corrosive environments.

Structural design

Various shapes, such as plate-shaped, hook-shaped, wavy, etc., adapt to different installation locations and functional requirements.

The surface may be designed with grooves, holes, or corrugations to enhance airflow disturbance or fix refractory materials.

Tips for using a preheater hanging plate

The hanging plates need to be strictly inspected for quality, including the uniformity of the material, the accuracy of the thickness, and the perfection of the surface treatment. Any minor defects may lead to early failure in a high-temperature environment. Subsequently, according to the specific structure and design requirements of the preheater, the installation position and spacing of the hanging plates are accurately measured to ensure that each hanging plate can play the best role in heat transfer and material diversion.

During the installation process, special fastening tools and sealing materials are required to ensure a close fit between the hanging plates and the inner wall of the preheater to effectively prevent heat leakage and material short circuits. At the same time, pay attention to the staggered arrangement between the hanging plates to enhance the overall structural strength and thermal stability.

The use status of the hanging plates should also be checked regularly, and the dust and coking on the surface should be cleaned in time to prevent a decrease in thermal efficiency and safety hazards caused by dust accumulation. For hanging plates with severe wear, they need to be replaced in time to ensure the long-term and efficient operation of the preheater.

The use of hanging plates and panels on the inner cylinder of a cement kiln preheater is a systematic project that combines precise measurement, strict quality control, and efficient maintenance. Its correct implementation is of vital importance to improving the overall efficiency and product quality of cement production.

Common Problems and Maintenance

Wear and Corrosion: Long-term exposure to high-temperature gas and material may cause the hanging sheet to become thinner or perforated, and it needs to be checked and replaced regularly.

Scaling and Blockage: In the cement preheater, the surface of the hanging sheet may form a crust due to the adhesion of raw material powder, which affects the ventilation and heat exchange efficiency and needs to be cleaned regularly.

Installation Requirements: The hanging sheet must be tightly fixed to avoid falling off due to vibration or thermal expansion, which may cause equipment failure.

Instead of the traditional way which is highly reliant on manual work, SINOMA introduced rotary cutting and rolling forging automatic production line.
